About the Role The Research Data Assistant is a key part of the Clinical and Academic team, supporting high-quality research activities across Health Gain Development programmes to help drive equitable health outcomes for Māori and priority populations. This role is suitable for people who already have a passion for research and want to develop a wide range of skills and experiences. Day-to-day activities may include (but are not limited to) supporting clinicians, research fellows or project teams with interviewing and transcribing; facilitating patient experience surveys, supporting good quality quantitative data collection, supporting ethics and localities applications and writing tasks, including literature search and synthesis and contributing to manuscripts. About the Team & Service The Equity, Scientific and Technical team is made up of a group of diverse people, comprising of the Clinical and Academic team, and the Scientific and Technical team. These teams bring together highly skilled kaupapa Māori researchers, public health physicians, technical experts and research fellows from across Aotearoa. Current research programmes include AAA screening, RHD screening, H. Pylori research and Endometrial Cancer research. About you You are a capable and confident writer and passionate about building a wide range of skills in Māori-led research. To succeed in this role, you will have: A Master's degree (or working towards)Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams A willingness to learn and take on new tasks Experience in Māori-led or Pacific-led research and knowledge of research processes and systems are highly desirable Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
