Administration Assistant (1 FTE)
Patient Service Centre, North Shore Hospital 
Elective Services (Full Time) North Shore Hospital

This is an entry level position suitable for a school leaver. We are currently seeking a highly motivated administrator who enjoys undertaking a number of varied tasks within a day, has excellent telephone and customer service skills to join our friendly and supportive Planned Care team. This is a key role based within the Patient Service Centre at North Shore Hospital and will require the successful candidate to have the ability to work with a wide range of clinical and non–clinical staff, be able to work with a number of computer applications, have an eye for detail and have the ability to prioritise their workload to meet competing demands.

The role is responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries from patients via the patient service line and directing to the appropriate speciality, supporting the loading of referrals, daily general administration and supporting the overall day to day running and functioning of the Patient Service Centre facility which includes monitoring and ordering supplies and maintaining the staff kitchen and consumables.

 As a first point of contact for our patients, it is essential that you have a good command of the English language (both written and verbal) and promote a professional image whilst providing excellent customer service to both the public and colleagues.

You will need to be a team player, have a desire to support patients and the staff within the Patient Service Centre, and enjoy learning and developing new skills.
