We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Services Director (CSD) to join our senior leadership team, Te Kāhui Manukura, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of hospice care in our region. This senior role operates across our services in a complex, hospital-standard environment, working closely with our Chief Executive and Medical Director.
What you’ll do
Lead and inspire an interdisciplinary clinical team— allied health, nursing, and healthcare assistants—ensuring seamless, person-centred care across services.
Drive clinical excellence through robust governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Champion equity and inclusion, embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and ensuring access for Māori, Pacific peoples, Disability Community and other underserved communities.
Foster innovation and research, advancing best practice in palliative and end-of-life care.
Design, implement and evaluate models of care that integrate inpatient and community pathways.
Create a culture of wellbeing, resilience, and professional growth for your team.
What we’re looking for
A proven senior leader with extensive experience in health services management and a strong clinical background (Allied Health or Nursing qualification essential, post graduate qualification desirable).
Expertise in clinical governance, quality systems, and workforce development.
A strategic thinker who can influence, innovate, and lead leaders and change in a complex, multi‑disciplinary health environment.
Commitment to equity, cultural safety, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong partnerships across sectors.
