About this role As our New Zealand Senior People & Culture Advisor you will be a valued member of the Australasian People & Culture team supporting the delivery of people programmes and initiatives. This role will allow you to incorporate value adding solutions to make an impact across the geography where you will be backed by the wider Australasian People & Culture team. You will apply your advisory skills across all levels, from hands-on tasks to collaborating with senior managers. You will be involved in all things People, including talent management, onboarding, performance planning, metrics, data analysis, people development, and employee relations. Your resilience and expertise in NZ employment relations will be instrumental in your success. There is also opportunity to travel across sites, including Wellington, and contribute to making a significant impact across the geography. About the role Provide high quality consultancy and advice to leaders on a variety of general and complex employment issues. Facilitate long-term people initiatives aligned with the strategic region and global people agenda. Manage and support and participate in the delivery of critical P+C cyclical processes such as performance appraisals, promotions, remuneration and learning events. Manage more complex performance and employment matters to resolution, balancing the needs of Arup with legal risks and the employee experience. Work on specific projects in the annual P+C plan (in or outside your area) independently or in a team as part of your growth and development. About you Relevant generalist HR or ER related experience in NZ with specific depth of experience in relationship-focused consulting roles and complex case management and employee relations. You're comfortable working independently and making commercial choices to meet the needs of the business. Strong understanding of policies, practices and employment and industrial relations frameworks (including Modern Awards) and the ability to use sound judgment, discretion and commerciality in their application. Perseverance and resilience in a highly ambiguous environment. Strong client and service delivery orientation, warm friendly and compassionate approach while being able to successfully influence the right outcomes. Non-hierarchical, with the ability to engage and communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments. Self-aware, understands their role in the team and takes responsibility for own actions.
