What will you do?
This is a hands-on, all-rounder video role. You will be responsible for the entire video creation lifecycle, working closely with our marketing team to bring our brand and customer stories to life.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Strategy Implementation:
Lead the creation and execution of our video content strategy across various digital platforms (website, social media, advertising, etc.).
End-to-End Production:
Manage projects from initial concept development, research, and scripting through to planning shoots, directing on location, capturing high-quality footage, and performing all post-production editing.
Content Creation:
Produce a diverse range of video content including: customer testimonials and stories, motorhome tours, reviews, and how-to guides, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the Wilderness team and operations, engaging social media clips and reels, and promotional videos for both rental and sales divisions.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor and analyse video performance metrics to understand what resonates with our audience and inform future content decisions.
Technical Excellence:
Ensure all video content meets high production standards in visuals, sound, and editing.
Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with video trends, platform best practices, and actively explore integrating innovative tools, including AI, into your workflow to enhance creativity and efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work effectively with colleagues, customers, and partners to plan shoots and capture authentic stories.
What we need from you:
A passion for NZ travel and experience exploring our country.
Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) in end-to-end video production and digital content creation.
A strong portfolio showcasing your skills in content creation, storytelling, scripting, and pre- and post-production techniques.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and AI video tools. Strong understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, You Tube, and Instagram, their optimisation metrics, and SEO for video.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Comfortable and confident in front of or behind the camera, with the ability to put video participants at ease during filming.
A degree in Video Production, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or related fields is preferred.
