The Housing and Business Development Group within the Horowhenua District Council, are a dedicated team committed to driving the development of housing and business growth in the Horowhenua District. As a Planning Team Leader within our dynamic team, you will lead and inspire a group of talented professional using strong leadership and communication skills to drive customer-focused outcomes. You'll be responsible for the successful delivery of job-specific responsibilities including the processing and oversight of resource consents and planning applications and processes while overseeing planning activities within the framework and provisions of the Resource Management Act. Your work will directly contribute to the sustainable development of the Horowhenua District, making a meaningful difference in the community. Your focus will be on enabling people to be successful both internally and externally. You'll be confident and driven to make things happen and have a "business improvement" mind-set, ensure and support the continued development and improvement of the planning processes and systems to meet management, organisational and legislative needs. You will be pro active and work alongside the Group Manager and Gorup Leaderhsip Team to guide and enable decision making and strategy.
