food animal veterinarian

to join their team at Hamilton in Waikato,

New Zealand. The ideal candidate must have the ability to thrive in this dynamic role, working closely with 1000 elite artificial breeding bulls. Our organization has been improving the dairy industry for over 100 years by innovating farming solutions and is committed to creating more sustainable and profitable farms for the future. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and their team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $100,000 – $115,000 per year. Applicants must have at least 2 years of clinical experience in farm veterinary practice.
Qualifications for Food Animal Veterinarian:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree.
Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.
Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions affecting farm animals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with farmers, farm workers, and colleagues.
Ability to educate and advise clients on animal health and management practices.
Responsibilities for Food Animal Veterinarian:

Provide emergency care and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries.
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in farm animals.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animals treated.
Prepare reports on herd health, treatment outcomes, and management recommendations.
