Oxford – 2 days a week in office.

- Led and scaled a successful AI product 0-1 (strategy to execution)
- Happy with an IC & hands on role initially
My client is a global research and development organisation building a new facility in Oxford focused on solving complex challenges in healthcare, agriculture, climate, and AI-driven government innovation – they are looking to double in size this year and scale to over 1,000 in 3 years.
They have a huge mission – to address the worlds most enduring problems through AI & scientific research. Currently they operate across 4 main domains – health & medical science, food security & sustainability, clean energy & climate change and government & public sector.
They’re predicted to be the largest and highest-level AI team in Europe. This is pretty much the first product hire for the Applied ML team, so the role has huge impact and potential.
They are hiring a Product Lead with strong UI/UX experience to lead cross-functional teams and own the end-to-end user experience across digital products. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and detailed execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire product 0-1 from strategy to execution
- Define and drive product strategy with a focus on design and usability
- Lead user research and design thinking sessions
- Develop and oversee wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Prioritise product features based on user feedback and business goals
- Work closely with engineering to ensure accurate implementation
- Establish and maintain design systems and UI standards
- Track and act on UX performance metrics
Requirements:
- 5+ years in product management with a strong UI/UX focus
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary product teams
- Strong grasp of design thinking, user research, and usability testing
- Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or similar tools
- Understanding of front-end development processes
- Experience balancing user needs, business outcomes, and technical constraints
Bonus:
- Background in R&D, healthcare, or technical environments
- Base + Bonus. Genuinely competitive salaries – they can compete with strong competitors like Amazon, Meta, Deep Mind etc.
- Travel fully paid for.
- Pension, holiday allowance, etc.
- Paid for training from the TOP trainers around the globe.
- Working with a low ego, unbelievably talented team.
This role is a priority so please apply ASAP for immediate consideration.
Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
