Te āheinga: The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant initiative that will shape the future of our vocational education landscape. The Business Analyst Tāmaki is an integral role working across MIT and Unitec to understand, collect and represent our project requirements for data and information. Joining a small collaborative team and reporting to the Programme Director Tāmaki, you will be contributing to our strategic programme of work to ensure the successful delivery of MIT's and Unitec's Kaupapa.
Key Responsibilities
Interpreting and analysing data and undertaking business analytics to use this information to provide relevant forecasting, modelling and insights which inform project decision-making.
Monitoring and reporting on transition and potential integration activities, to ensure that projected synergies are realised.
Helping align business processes, systems, and cultures to facilitate a seamless transition while tracking key metrics and performance indicators to assess the success of the transition and potential integration.
Accurately translating and structuring data from one institution to another, maintaining data integrity and applying relevant business rules.
Estimating data volumes based on forecasts and historical data to ensure optimal system performance and scalability.
Acting as a liaison between project stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Experience and the ability to analyse complex information, propose creative solutions to problems, test and map processes and protocols, and set out information in a persuasive and influential way.
You are proficient in data analysis and visualisation tools and experienced in conducting research and providing actionable insights to inform business strategy and decision-making. This varied role will utilise your strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify trends and patterns in data. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively advise, collaborate and engage with diverse audiences and senior management.
Being an excellent listener and providing constructive feedback is crucial, as is the ability to inspire others to achieve their best and foster a positive team environment. If you are responsive and agile and willing to undertake a variety of work, you will enjoy this varied stimulating role.
