About the job
This role defines long-term organisational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions..
Your contribution to the team includes
Develop business development strategies to achieve organizational goals in consultation with the Managing Director
Research business opportunities and viable income streams
Manage and retain relationships with existing clients
Increase client base
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Understand the company’s goal and purpose so to continually enhance the company’s performance
Comply and ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with workplace health and safety, quality rules and regulations
Develop relationships with other Sales team members to ensure effective working practices and strong support
Representing the Sales function to collaborate with and support other departments
Complete other projects given by the Managing Director
Other duties and tasks as assigned
What you will need to be short-listed
Min 5 years’ experience of the role in sales/business development within a construction related environment
Success oriented
Leadership skills, strong work ethic, open and reliable
Ambitious, confident, performance driven and target focused
Well organized, methodical
Positive team spirit, willing to assist in all areas of department
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Competent in the use of MS office (excel and word)
Ability to learn and adapt to PERI and its systems quickly
A tertiary qualification in civil/structural engineering
