About this role 
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team based in Auckland. We offer the full spectrum of geotechnical consulting services. Through provision of project specific advice throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to construction. We are able to advise our client how best to deal with geotechnical risk and provide them with appropriate and cost-effective solutions. 

What will I do? 

Communicate with the Client and the Project Engineer to understand the project requirements; 
Carry out desktop studies and investigations to develop a clear understanding of ground conditions at the project site; 
Plan, specify and manage site investigations and laboratory testing program; 
Analyse field and laboratory data including carrying out analyses related to the project design; and 
Prepare detailed geotechnical reports. 

 
What will I bring? 

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area including relevant industry experience in Engineering within a consulting business environment;
Experience in the operation of software design tools including Slide, Plaxis, Flac, Geostudio, RS2 is preferable; 
Working knowledge of site investigation design, specification, delivery, and reporting; 
Ability to work autonomously and within a team-based environment, support teams remotely; and 
Fantastic interpersonal skills and effective report writing.
