We are seeking a Business Development Manager for the Building Automation team based in Ponsonby. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role involves identifying new sales opportunities, providing consultative support, building customer relationships, and managing sales strategies and negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales orders and quota targets.
Grow the pipeline of opportunities.
Formulate long-term strategies and identify new accounts.
Communicate key messages and initiatives to customers.
Understand customer business drivers and organization structure.
Establish relationships with potential and current customers, builders, developers, and industry consultants.
Collaborate with internal teams including Account Managers, Project, and Service teams.
Key Experience & Capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of B2 B sales experience in large order or PPP environments.
Knowledge of technology service projects like BMS, Security, ICT.
Experience with installation projects and construction.
Strong customer engagement skills at senior levels.
Proven ability to develop new customers and partnerships.
Experience with PPP and large deal bids is highly regarded.
Attention to detail and ability to handle high-risk deals.
Understanding of large and complex Facility Management.
Good knowledge of industry offerings and solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
