Role Overview: As an integral member of our technical team, the SAP Basis Consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our SAP landscape. The primary focus of this role is on SAP system administration, including installations, upgrades, and daily maintenance tasks. The consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to design and implement SAP system landscapes that align with business objectives while adhering to best practices. The role requires a deep understanding of SAP Basis principles, security, and database administration. Key Responsibilities: · Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. · Manage SAP systems' installations, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. · Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and optimise SAP system landscapes that align with business objectives. · Implement best practices for system architecture, ensuring scalability and flexibility. · Implement and maintain SAP security measures, including user administration, role creation, and authorisation management. · Conduct regular security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities. · Manage SAP databases, including backup and recovery processes. · Optimise database performance and collaborate with database administrators for seamless integration. · Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement. · Implement tuning strategies to optimise SAP system performance. · Provide technical support for SAP-related issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems. · Document and communicate solutions to end-users and technical staff. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. · Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, with expertise in SAP system administration and performance tuning. · Strong knowledge of SAP security principles and authorisation concepts. · Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, and system patching. · Proficiency in SAP HANA, Oracle, or other relevant databases. · Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. · Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: · SAP certification in Basis Administration. · Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions. · Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the SAP ecosystem.
