The Opportunity As a Senior Project Engineer, your primary purpose will be to manage and drive a variety of engineering projects that will deliver NILO’s innovations to the world. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to translate R&D efforts into small and large scale production while ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality at every stage. Your role includes: Leading and managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, growth and excellence. Prioritising short-term project tasks while ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals. We're in R&D, we move fast, but have big ambitions to reach. Collaborating with the R&D team to design, build, and optimise new manufacturing processes and tools. Getting hands-on with machinery and production - you'll be strategic, designing and on the tools. Right now, your focus will be on the R&D engineering, infrastructure, and tooling necessary to scale NILO’s unique adhesive technology for global markets. As the team grows, you’ll take on a pivotal role in guiding technical teams and driving projects forward. About you You’re an experienced project engineer with a track record of managing end-to-end engineering projects in manufacturing or R&D environments. You enjoy a hands-on approach, are proactive in resolving issues, and take pride in achieving outcomes that meet both technical and business needs. Experience with setting up facilities and knowledge of safety compliance processes will be a plus. Furthermore, you thrive in environments where you need to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to evolving circumstances, while also keeping long-term strategic goals in mind. Leadership experience and the ability to manage and mentor others will be essential in this role. However, for this position, given its pivotal nature, we are seeking a specific set of skills and experiences to ensure success. The ideal candidate will bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing engineering teams, prioritising projects, and fostering team growth. Hands-on technical background with the ability to work directly on tools and equipment. Proven track record in overseeing engineering operations in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity across multiple disciplines, such as electrical, instrument, control, hydraulic, process, and mechanical systems/engineering. Ideally, you'll also have: Familiarity with twin screw extruders and related technology. Strong existing network of suppliers, contractors, and services with standing relationships to facilitate efficiencies in the R&D process.
