The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the day to day running of your allocated projects and the operational team consisting of engineers, supervisors and field crews.

Duties include day to day management of contracts, including oversight of planning and programming, budget, safety, quality and environmental performance, reporting and client liaison.

What you'll be doing The position will be based at our Rotorua branch, to manage and lead project delivery of the key Construction projects ensuring the profitable, compliant and efficient delivery of the works, along with developing and growing the business and overlooking a team of 10-30 staff and subcontractors, a fleet of plant and equipment and whatever projects come our way.

With a strong forward workload and multiple long term infrastructure construction, renewal and maintenance contracts secured to 2030 and beyond, we are seeking project/contract managers with underground utilities construction/installation experience in the three waters space (water, wastewater and stormwater) preferably but experience in other underground utilities operations or general civil construction will also be considered beneficial.

Day to day responsibilities include: Job management Programming Resource Planning and allocation Cost management / Job costing Claiming Technical engineering Safety Quality and Environmental compliance.

Staff management development and training.

Plant management.

Maintain strong relationship with our clients Respond to and resolve customer queries.

What we need from you Minimum 5 years' experience working in construction and infrastructure Minimum 2 years' experience in a contract management role or similar Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent is advantageous Experience in building and leading a team Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Passion for Health and Safety Proven leadership ability Excellent organisational and time management skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Positive "can do" attitude What's in it for you We have a great team culture and supportive work environment here in Fulton Hogan.
