Job Description: Senior ICS Security Consultant
Based in our New Plymouth office, this full-time position will see you working with our clients to support their ICS/OT security journey.
What you'll be doing
- Act as a trusted advisor to SGS ECL industrial clients
- Support and facilitate governance, risk, and compliance journey related to ICS/OT security
- Assess and evaluate industrial control system (ICS) environments according to client requirements
- Write reports with pragmatic recommendations focusing on return on investment to improve industrial security posture and resilience
- Advise on changes to the ICS network to strengthen cybersecurity controls and introduce new controls
- Ensure ICS/OT philosophies support business objectives, balancing cybersecurity, operational, and business risks
- Document existing architecture and propose defensible architectures
- Collaborate with SGS ECL Engineers and client stakeholders to support system implementation, maintenance, and administration
What we're looking for
- 10+ years’ experience with industrial control systems (ICS), DCS, SCADA, SIS, PLC, etc., and/or 10+ years’ experience in networking, security, and/or sysadmin with industrial networking expertise
- A degree in engineering, networking, or cybersecurity is advantageous
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently or within a small team, directly interfacing with clients
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies for industrial control networks
- Knowledge of cybersecurity management frameworks (e.g., Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, network traffic cybersecurity, and control configurations via switches and firewalls
- Ability to conduct detailed industrial cyber assessments and audits to high standards
