Description
Timely has come a long way since our inception in 2011. We’ve grown an online community of over 50,000 beauty professionals across 100 countries that use our cloud-based business management software to book over 35 million appointments a year.
In 2021, we were thrilled to join forces with EverCommerce, a US-based leading service commerce platform who offer a suite of integrated SAAS solutions to over 500,000 customers globally. Our partnership with EverCommerce has helped us to stay focused on delivering value that supports profitability and productivity for our customers and allows us to provide world class experience for our people. Together with SalonBiz, another business management software under the EverCommerce umbrella, we make up the Global Wellness Solution.
Our Mission? Build the leading platform for beauty professionals.
We’re more than a software company, we’re creating a community to power the world’s most loved client experience, and we’re looking for the right people to jump on the rocket ship with us and lift off.
This is where you come in!
As Cloud Engineering Manager, you’ll mentor and coach your team, while ensuring the Timely and SalonBiz Platforms evolves and grows appropriately in order to support our other Platform and Product Engineering teams.
You’re passionate about coaching and people management, and have a proven track record of helping teams succeed and making intelligent, strategic and timely decisions on technical advancement.
Your team has responsibility for our networks, storage and cloud infrastructure, and delivery platforms that the applications, associated systems and teams rely on. In particular the scalability, deployment, reliability and security of these systems are key focus areas.
Working closely with the Head of Platform Engineering & SVP of Technology, as well as Engineering Managers in other technical areas, you’ll build empathetic relationships with stake-holders across the business to inform product direction, scoping and priority.
We’d love to hear from you if…
You have strong people management and coaching skills. You know how to support and enable your team, and provide opportunities for growth.
You’re passionate about creating a team environment where people can succeed.
You have a solid understanding of Devops skills like terraform, software deployment and cloud architecture. You’ll have been deeply technical at some point in your career and will have a great framework to be able to coach and guide your team.
You’re experienced in a variety of Cloud Platforms and understand key concepts and how to leverage them.
You are comfortable with managing a small team while still doing some technical design and implementation.
Why join us?
We lead with inclusion and use our values to inform our decisions. We succeed together and celebrate the things that make us unique.
We trust our team to work where they are the most productive. You’ll have the flexibility to work from home or the office. We have office space in Auckland, Wellington & Dunedin and provide a high-spec home office set up.
We set a high bar and support our team to innovate and focus on continuous growth. You’ll enjoy a professional development budget to fuel your growth, and an annual wellness allowance to fund the things that support your wellbeing.
