Civil Engineer, Whangarei
We have an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Transport team in Whangarei.
You will support the Transport and Survey teams by carrying out design, project management, contract management, site inspections, contract administration, survey, and survey processing for various projects.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Provide engineering consulting services to clients.
Act as Task or Project Manager for assigned projects, prepare, and assist with project briefs, offers of service and fee estimates.
Ensure contractors fulfil their contracted obligations by developing, implementing, and operating appropriate contract management plans while maintaining excellent contractor relationships.
Manage the operational systems for assigned contracts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of inputs and outputs, including using RAMM Contractor to manage and record work activities and processing contractor claims.
Verify as-built records provided by contractors, including RAMM inventory information ensuring the information is accurate and complete.
Preparing and implementing contract/ tender documentation, including specifications, schedules and engineering estimates; reviewing all inputs such as design and statutory consent documentation and providing appropriate feedback.
About You:
Holds a bachelor's level qualification in Civil Engineering, related discipline, or overseas equivalent.
A minimum of two years of professional civil engineering experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse client base whilst upholding WSP's guiding principals
This position is full-time, 40 hours, and five days per week. The remuneration range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.
