Engineering Storeperson
Culham Engineering are looking for a mechanically minded and hands-on Engineering Storeperson to join our busy Whangarei team.
Full Time, permanent position
Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours
About the Role
As the Storeperson you will be responsible for issuing, recording and preparing tools and equipment in our busy Workshop Store. You will ensure that there is sufficient tooling and equipment available and that it is in good condition. This is a varied role and will require you to be organized, efficient and mechanically minded.
Key Responsibilities Include
Check-in and check-out of tools under the inventory system
Facilitation and stock management of new tooling, tooling components, parts, consumables and welder parts
Facilitation of electrical equipment testing
Ensure data in the inventory system is updated and accurate
Facilitation of rigging and height safety testing
Repairing tools, hoses, welding leads gas equipment and other items
Liaising with Procurement Manager and other staff to facilitate orders
Skills and Experience
Current Full Drivers License
Current Forklift License
High level of computer literacy – accurate and fast
Some understanding of general Heavy Engineering tooling and componentry and their functionality
High level of organization and efficiency
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Established in 1958, Culham Engineering has over 64 years’ experience in heavy engineering, petrochemical, industrial maintenance and the construction industry with branches located in Whangarei, Tokoroa, Kawerau and Auckland. The Whangarei facility has eight onsite fabrication workshops, including a separate uncontaminated shop facility for stainless steel fabrication, three painting workshops, a conventional blast bay and an automated bast bay.
