Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems is seeking a dynamic and experienced academic to join our team as a Professor or Associate Professor in Accounting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our department and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of accounting education and research.
You will be responsible for driving impactful and high-quality research that contributes to the department's international profile, with an emphasis on sustainability accounting, indigenous accounting and accountability, forensic accounting, and production accounting for the film and game industry. You will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and contribute to curriculum development in line with the department's evolving needs. You will provide mentorship and supervision to postgraduate research students, guiding them to success in their academic endeavours.
Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have a Ph D in Accounting, or a closely related field, and have the following key skills and experience:
a strong international reputation in accounting research and teaching, with a proven track record of publications in A and A ranked ABDC list journals*
outstanding teaching skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences
a demonstrated ability to engage with external stakeholders and make a positive impact on the local and global accounting community
proven leadership skills, with a willingness and ability to take on leadership roles within the department, school, and university
a commitment to departmental, university, and professional service activities.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement and the following salary scale applies: Associate Professor $148,098 - $159,640, Professor $169,672 - $176,712.
