About the role
Battery Auto Electric Ltd is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Oamaru, North Otago. This is a full-time position that will see you working on a variety of automotive electrical systems and components. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, as well as carrying out regular maintenance and servicing on our clients' vehicles.
What you'll be doing
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in a wide range of vehicle makes and models
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and servicing of automotive electrical systems
Testing and replacing faulty components such as batteries, alternators, starters, and wiring
Performing electrical upgrades and modifications to vehicles as required
Providing exceptional customer service and advising clients on the best course of action
Maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken
Ensuring a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in Automotive Electrical or a related discipline
Experience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop environment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers
