Located in Greenlane Auckland, Kākāriki Hospital opened in 2024 & is a joint venture between Allevia Health & the NZ Surgical Group Ltd. We’re a state-of-the-art private surgical hospital with 4 theatres, a day surgery unit & 20 inpatient beds. We deliver elective surgery to both adults & children & our surgical specialties include ENT, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Plastics, General, Paediatrics, Breast, Vascular, Bariatrics & Urology.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Bookings Coordinator for a part time role working 32 hrs per week, with flexible days and hours across Monday to Friday and further hours available according to business needs. The Bookings Coordinator manages patient bookings for our operating theatres, ensuring accuracy, timeliness & a patient-centred experience. Success in this role is achieved by building & maintaining strong, professional relationships with surgeons, their secretaries, specialists’ rooms & patients.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a surgical bookings role - ideally with ICD10 coding
Knowledge & understanding of medical terminology
Competent computer skills (i.e. intermediate MS Office) with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
Ability to communicate confidently & clearly in a professional & friendly manner
Keen attention to detail, high level of accuracy & great organisational skills
