Service Foods Christchurch is seeking a hands‐on Butchery Manager to oversee our butchery division, ensuring top‐tier product quality, operational efficiency, and team performance. What You'll Be Doing
Manage daily meat and poultry processing, packing, and picking.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and CFCP procedures.
Lead inventory control, supplier coordination, and equipment maintenance.
Oversee meat ordering, stock take processes, and product rotation.
Hire, train, and develop a high‐performing butchery team.
Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Compliance teams.
Support rostering, leave management and reporting functions.
Contribute to strategic planning and product development.
Liaise with Sales and GM to plan around volume forecasts, promotions, and clearances.
Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance.
What You'll Bring
Trade qualification or 3+ years' experience in butchery or operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and admin systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
