Hourly rate of $24.06 - $28.25 per hour AM, PM and Weekend shifts Edith Cavell is a 60-bed Care Home and Hospital with a 7-unit Village located in the central Sumner Village in Christchurch. As a Caregiver, you will: Work together in a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents Follow individual resident care plans Form lasting relationships with residents and their whanāu | family Adapt and support your wider team members to create a great team environment He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience A great team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others Good communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with residents, their families and your team members Be familiar with computers and have the ability to learn new systems Minimum NZQA Level 2 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing) Experience within aged care would be beneficial, but not essential Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
