We are currently looking for a highly motivated and innovative experienced Registered Nurse for the role of Charge Nurse, Ophthalmology GSU.
As the new Charge Nurse you will need initiative, determination to achieve results, strong skills in communication and able to build effective relationships quickly. You will understand principles of change, be open to learning, and will have the determination to bring people on this exciting journey with you.
This is a fulltime position working 40 hrs/week, Monday to Sunday.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You will be an experienced theatre nurse preferably with specialised ophthalmology experience to lead this Ophthalmic Theatre team working closely with surgical ophthalmology services to provide a seamless and high standard patient experience.
To apply for this role you must have:
· Advanced clinical practice knowledge, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working
in a fast paced setting
· Commitment to providing excellent care
· Strong accountability for resource and budget management
· A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
· Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
· Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
· Ideally, you will have completed or working towards a post-graduate qualification.
