We are seeking Chefs (x2) to join our busy team in Hamilton. This is a full-time role (minimum of 30 hours a week, no more than 45 hours per week).
The role:
You will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking quality cuisine dishes to high standards and ensuring they are served to customers on time.
Freezing and preserving foods.
Maintaining a working knowledge of all recipes, products, and production procedures as required by the employer.
Planning and updating the menu, including introducing and merging some Asian style cuisine ideas.
Organizing food and kitchen requirements and managing costs.
Ensuring there are adequate stocks of foodstuffs and ordering food supplies.
Maintaining established standards of food safety and sanitation.
Ensuring the cafe’s cleanliness is maintained to a high standard at all times.
Communicating effectively with the employer and other chefs.
Training new staff.
Minimum work hours:
30 hours per week
Wage range:
$29.00 – 35.00
To be successful in this role, you are required to have:
A relevant NZ Certificate Level 4 or higher qualification, or
3 years of relevant work experience.
New Zealand local relevant work experience is preferable.
