Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) is a specialist inpatient service for 40 people aged 18-65 years, the majority of whom are under 30 years. All experience serious mental illness with associated high and complex needs. We are committed to facilitating a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment utilising evidence-based practice in response to peoples’ clinical and rehabilitation needs.
We have an established psychology team which includes our Service Clinical Director and they lead evidenced-based talking therapies and we encourage Senior Clinical Psychologists to apply.
You will use your specialist skills to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams and provide psychological assessment, formulation, and therapy for clients with complex problems including psychosis, mood disorders, ASD, complex PTSD and OCD.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be successful for this role, you will be a NZ Registered Clinical Psychologist, holding a current annual practising certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice or be eligible for registration.
As this is a community based role, you will also have a full and clean driver license.
You will also be motivated and able to work both autonomously within a multi team context and be able to demonstrate a clear vision and aptitude for the way a Clinical Psychologist can contribute effectively within this setting.
