Acute Mental Health Team Witherlea and Wairau AOD – WairauHospitalPermanent 0.6FTE (64 hours/fortnight) Are you passionate about mental health and the recovery process?Join our experienced multidisciplinary teamsEnjoy the sought after Blenheim lifestyle Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About thisposition)Our Community Adult Mental Health and Addictions teamsprovide comprehensive assessment and treatment of people identified as havingmoderate to severe mental illness and associated psychosocial issues.For the adult mental health portion of this role (0.4 FTE),you will be joining our multidisciplinary Acute Team working in partnershipwith colleagues to provide session limited, focused interventions that are specificallydirected to assist clients in acute distress. You will also provide initial psychologicalassessment and formulation services to the general intake team. For the AOD portion of the role (0.2 FTE), you will beworking within our multidisciplinary addictions team. The successful applicantwill have the opportunity to gain valuable skills directly providing specialisttreatment to clients confronting substance addiction and mental illness as wellas supporting and enhancing the work of clinical colleagues through supervisionand teaching. (Who is an appropriateapplicant?)We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist withpost-registration experience in a mental health setting and up-to-dateknowledge of psychological interventions relating to mental health issues.You will have excellent interpersonal andorganisations skills and will be an active participant in our multidisciplinaryteams. You will be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture ofcollaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
