Clinical Psychologist at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Porirua Community Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location:Porirua Service:Porirua Community Mental Health Team Contract:Permanent, Part-time 0.5 ( Days to be decided) Your role will involve the delivery of a range of psychological therapies for adults with severe mental health disorders. You will be expected to undertake comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulate and articulate treatment needs and plans; provide individual/group therapies for a broad range of mental health difficulties Porirua CMHT is a multi-disciplinary team with Drs, Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Psychologists and an Admin Team. We are a team with a lot of experience and some of us have worked together for many years which demonstrates the stability of the team. We provide a range of treatments and therapies and provide a Dealing with Emotions group to some of our clients. We have a good working relationship with other services and the local community. We enjoy celebrating achievements with shared lunches and doing the 5 minute quiz at lunchtime. As we are on the 8th floor of the BNZ Tower we enjoy the best views of Porirua and the harbour. You will be working with a dynamic and experienced multidisciplinary team who strive to provide high quality care to tangata whaiora family/whanau seeking mental health and addiction services. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist with: Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent Registration with the NZ Psychology Board as a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of practice Proven psychological, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment skills Ability to work in a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and demonstrate values consistent with those of the MHAIDS Services. Committed to working within the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. Capacity to practice in a manner that engages tangata whaiora/consumers/whanau from a range of different cultural backgrounds. Ability to work effectively with partner agencies in the community to meet a diverse range of needs.
