About the role: This is a newly created role reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, leading and managing 3 direct reports (Events & Competitions Lead, Commercial & Partnerships Coordinator, and Events & Competitions Coordinator) and overseeing a number of contractors. This person will work closely with the Marketing & Brand Lead, the Digital & Content Lead , personnel in the Zones/ and Teams and also the Senior Media & PR Advisor, to deliver great outcomes for Netball and for our partners. This role will be the glue that holds the Commercial, Partnership & Events team together, acting as the strategic point of contact within Netball NZ. So, we are not looking for an Events only expert here. Ideally have some exposure to event leadership or at least exposure to fast paced, big impact world-class experiences. A love of sport – and an appreciation for the role netball plays in our sporting and cultural DNA. A tertiary qualification in business (or a related field) is preferred. You’ll also need the flexibility to work some evenings and weekends—because game day doesn’t always stick to 9–5.
