Commercial Manager - Property Southern Cross Healthcare National Support Office Mō te Tūranga | About the Role This role’s function is to provide commercial support to the national Property and Development function. This will involve executing the procurement strategy for the Property & Development function, working with the project managers and Facility Managers within each hospital to identify and engage with suppliers, run procurement initiatives, negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance on behalf of the Property and Development team. The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for providing commercial and contract management support to the Property & Development team and provide the leadership required to set up panels of qualified and contracted suppliers for each of our wholly-owned hospitals. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for a duration of 12-months, in order to support the implementation of Procurement strategies in our Property & Development team. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience Minimum of 5 years in a commercial role. In depth knowledge of categories within the property and development sector. Demonstrable experience in leading and managing ‘market engagement’ initiatives eg. RFx’s. Demonstrable success in negotiating with large suppliers and within a complex corporate environment to achieve sustainable and successful outcomes. Sound commercial skills with an understanding of project management methodologies and experience in project delivery. Demonstrable knowledge and management of computer systems, Excel spreadsheets and database maintenance to an intermediate level. Ability to work co-operatively and collaboratively within a team environment. Able to deal with a wide range of people at all levels of seniority and expertise. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrable analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, within a fast-paced environment. Ability to influence key stakeholders.
