Weare looking for a General Otolaryngologist to join our team in late 2023 to helpprovide elective and acute services (as part of the on-call roster). Thesuccessful applicant will be a highly motivated team player and will enjoy avery collegial relationship. The role is based at Wellington Regional Hospital,however the successful candidate will be expected to work across the greaterWellington region in line with a current change to establish a sub-regional ENTservice. The position will involve a range ofacute and elective general ORL surgery however application from a post-fellowor experienced surgeon with a sub-specialty area of interest, particularly in Otology, would be welcomed.Some undergraduate teaching is expected as well as supervision and teaching of registrars in the otolaryngology training rotation.Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our teamThedepartment currently consists of ten general and subspecialist surgeons whoprovide a wide range of service to the greater Wellington region and tertiarylevel care for the wider region. Current recruitment to the sub-regionalservice will see the team increase to 11 surgeons. These include generalotolaryngology, rhinology and anterior skull base surgery, otology, lateralskull base and acoustic neuroma surgery, cochlear implantation, paediatricotolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
