Waitematā is also responsible for the Regional Forensic Psychiatry Services and the Regional Community Alcohol and Drugs Service (CADS). With this wide range of services and over 95 FTE senior medical staff across the Service, a strong support system is available for doctors at any stage of their career, with multiple opportunities to benefit from or provide expert collegial advice and support. Based in our North Adult Community Mental Health Team, we are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist or experienced Medical Officer who is committed to providing a high standard of care, has a strong consumer focus, enjoys the challenge of providing services to a diverse community, and wishes to be part of a fantastic team of Mental Health and Addiction Clinicians and Psychiatrists. Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and medical students, as well as clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, are core functions of all our Senior Medical Officers.
