Mō te tūranga - About the role Our Radiology Service offers a full range of imaging modalities based on digital RIS/PACS systems. We offer MRI, Interventional, CT, and ultrasound; however, we do not offer mammography services. Our vacancy requires a Radiologist with a general scope of skills, including MRI and CT-guided procedures; ultrasound experience is advantageous but not an absolute necessity. As a flexible department, we are willing to make the most of your skills and support your special interest. You will participate in an out of hours on-call roster shared equally amongst your Radiologist colleagues. We are affiliated with the University of Otago Medical School, and Southland Hospital provides training to Registrars from the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists, so you'll need to be someone who is enthusiastic about teaching and passing on your knowledge to junior members of staff. You must be FRANZCR qualified (or equivalent) and hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the Medical Council of NZ. If you are an international candidate, you can be considered for this role under the condition that you are eligible for vocational registration with the MCNZ.
