This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand.

NZ's borders are open, so we encourage applications from international candidates - we are an Accredited Employer and are able to assist with the visa process.

Zag is part of Accenture and we are the pre-eminent SAP Consultancy in NZ and a SAP Gold Partner. Accenture is the world’s largest Tech consultancy, and our business is going from strength to strength. Demand for business intelligence tools and consulting has never been higher and Zag is well-positioned to provide this expertise. We’re now looking to recruit a Lead Consultant to more fully augment the team.

Our Consultants enjoy very full, diverse roles covering the end to end management of solutions. Accordingly, we are looking to recruit someone with the same calibre of broad experience.

To be considered you will need to meet the following brief:
Ability to support and guide SAP Data Migration Workstreams and SAP Analytics Workstreams is essential
Expert knowledge of SAP Data Services (installation, deployment, and configuration of the application, ETL design patterns and interfacing/integration with SAP environments)
Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services in Data Migration projects (SAP ECC and S/4HANA), as well experience with S/4 Data Migration Cockpit, LSMW, IDocs and BAPI functions
Experience with HANA SDI, HANA Calculation Views, ABAP CDS Views is advantageous
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP HANA (SDI, Calculation Views) and SAP ABAP CDS Views would be highly advantageous
Advanced knowledge of Cloud Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift), other ETL solutions (Matillion, Databricks, MS SQL SSIS or Informatica) and Power BI is a plus

This is a senior position which will see you focused on delivering value to the customer and taking full accountability for delivery.

It is vital that you come from a well-established consultancy background with extremely good verbal and written English skills and are accustomed to large project environments and individual consultancy engagements. You will excel at building relationships and be very comfortable giving presentations to business users and engaging with business executives in both presales and project engagements, including conducting pre-sales presentations, discovery engagements, gathering requirements and estimating projects

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-performing SAP Analytics team in an influential role.

As with all consulting positions, national travel within NZ will be required. Our approach to travel in general is that it not be disruptive to your life outside of work – we uphold a culture of work/life balance and whilst there are certainly times of heightened activity and deadlines, we do all we can to ensure this is only in the short-term. We regularly recruit additional people to help alleviate the pressure and to give you bandwidth to do your best work. All that said, consulting, as you likely know, is a very dynamic environment and, in light of this, there are a lot of things attracting your attention and it regularly feels like there isn’t enough time in the day to do everything We look to recruit people who thrive in this kind of push-pull environment where there is always a lot going on.

Zag has won recognition, over many years, as being one of the very BEST PLACES TO WORK! We genuinely care about our people, we’re highly supportive, we have an enormously strong collaboration culture and we do excellent work, which consistently drives our reputation as the leader in the SAP NZ market.

A consultant (from Latin: consultare "to deliberate") is a professional who provides expert advice in a particular area such as security (electronic or physical), management, education, accountancy, law, human resources, marketing (and public relations), finance, engineering, science or any of many other specialized fields. A consultant is usually an expert or an experienced professional in a specific field and has a wide knowledge of the subject matter. The role of consultant outside the medical sphere (where the term is used specifically for a grade of doctor) can fall under one of two general categories: Internal consultant: someone who operates within an organization but is available to be consulted on areas of their specialization by other departments or individuals (acting as clients); or External consultant: someone who is employed externally to the client (either by a consulting firm or some other agency) whose expertise is provided on a temporary basis, usually for a fee. Consulting firms range in size from sole proprietorships consisting of a single consultant, small businesses consisting of a small number of consultants, to mid- to large consulting firms, which in some cases are multinational corporations. This type of consultant generally engages with multiple and changing clients, which are typically companies, non-profit organizations, or governments.
