A vacancy exists for a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to join their Integrated Care Adult Mental Health Services. The service is comprised of seven community based mental health centres, four of which provide services to the immediate surrounding population and three that provide service across the district. This role is within Rapua to Ao Waiora (Maaori Mental Health) delivering clinical services within a cultural paradigm across the South Auckland. The team at Rapua to Ao Waiora work closely with other Maaori providers and Primary Healthcare Organisations to move towards delivering integrated Whanau Ora services across secondary and primary care.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist working with them you would play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team environment, leading and clinically managing the clinical functions in the team. You would work alongside the Team Manager in a clinical/ managerial partnership model, actively contributing to quality improvement, service delivery, ongoing development of the team and supporting the cultural model of care.
