Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $65.35/Hr. Summary What You Will Do: Reporting to the Manager, Psychological Health and Safety, the Psychological Health and Safety Specialist acts as an internal consulting resource for organizational development processes, strategies, decision-making, and projects that are directed at fostering a culture of psychological health and safety (PHS) in the workplace. Support the development and implementation of strategic and operational initiatives designed to strengthen health, resilience, and well-being at the individual, team, leader, and organizational levels. Provide consulting services to support the goals and objectives of senior leadership with interventions such as change initiatives, strategy planning facilitation, process re-design, team building, education and training, consulting and coaching, culture and respectful workplace development issues. Provide support to the organization and specific functional areas in recognizing current patterns across the system and partnering to develop and implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness. This work is framed within PHC commitments to Indigenous cultural safety, anti-racism, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. What You Bring Qualifications: Master's Degree in Psychology, Organization Development, Leadership, Adult Education, Behavioural Science, or other equivalent education and training. Five (5) years' recent related experience in psychological health and safety, organization development and/or leadership development in an intermediate to large size organization. *Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in healthcare settings. Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of psychosocial factors impacting personal well-being and organizational health, as outlined in the Standard. Knowledge of organization development theory and applications. Group facilitation skills in an organization development role. Knowledge of leadership and team development. What We Offer Your Day to Day: Design, develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing PHS management systems to assess and address key psychosocial factors impacting workforce mental health. Provide leadership in strategic and operational initiatives to support staff and medical staff in nurturing self-care, well-being, and total health. Design and recommend innovative models for PHS service delivery to meet staff needs. Analyze systems and processes, and make recommendations for improvement. Partner with senior leaders to design and implement change processes engaging stakeholders from start to finish. Support leaders through training in hosting psychologically informed conversations and coaching. Deliver resilience training and develop competency-based learning programs. Facilitate team development, analyze behavior, and support change initiatives. Collaborate with provincial and regional committees and liaise with external agencies. Stay current with standards and practices related to Psychological Health and Safety. Support provincial PHS program implementation and represent the department on committees. Lead project teams for training and process development, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. Provide leadership to vendors and project teams, and pursue ongoing professional development.
