The Ophthalmology Department are seeking a Specialist Ophthalmologist to fill a full-time permanent role, based in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand. We are looking for an experienced Specialist with a sub-speciality interest that will make an effective contribution to the service. Please note you must be able to undertake Cataract Surgery and actively participate in the consultant on-call roster (1:5). Whangarei is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region supported by three district hospitals. The beautiful Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres with a growing population of more than 190,000.
