About The Opportunity

Outlier is seeking talented writers fluent in English to help train generative AI models.
This freelance, remote, reading and writing-intensive role offers flexible hours, allowing you to work at your convenience.

Contributions You May Make

Reading English texts to rank responses generated by AI models.
Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced texts.

Desired Expertise

Experience as a professional writer or editor.
Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
Strong writing style, exceptional English grammar, and reasoning skills.
Attention to detail and ability to clearly articulate strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment Details

Rates for core project work range from $15 to $35 USD per hour in the US.
Estimated rates in the UK: up to £11-£27 GBP/hour.
Canada: up to $20-$48 CAD/hour.
Australia: up to $22-$53 AUD/hour.
New Zealand: up to $25-$58 NZD/hour.
Rates vary based on expertise, location, and project needs, with potential incentives and higher rates for advanced qualifications.
