Ko Taku Reois looking for an exceptional teacher to join our Ormiston Team. This is anopportunity to grow your expertise - from being a great classroom teacher tobecoming a great Teacher of the Deaf.
We’relooking for a teacher who brings curiosity, energy and fresh ideas tohelp our learners thrive. You’ll have strong knowledge of teaching andlearning, a commitment to student wellbeing and a passion for making adifference. We’ll support you to develop skills in NZSL, and deepen yourunderstanding of Deaf Culture and the Deaf community.

1 FTU (Fixed Term Unit) Small class sizes (2–10students per class group) PLD and daily supportto become fluent in NZSL Highly supportedclassrooms with Teacher Aides of the Deaf, Speech-Language Therapists and Educational Interpreters 5 days CRT per term (asper PTCA), plus additional release during induction Eligibility for an Mo EStudy Award to complete a Postgraduate Teacher of the Deaf qualification,with significant release time provided NZSL allowance (oncompletion of study)Ko Taku Reo is a Priority Staffing School, if successful in securing a place on the Teacher Bonding Scheme this position will be supported by this. This is equivalent to $40,000over 5 years.
