We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer / Git Lab Migration Specialist to oversee a critical migration from Jira to Git Lab and optimise integrations with various platforms. You'll combine technical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to create a future-proof Dev Ops ecosystem, bringing modern tools and innovative practices to life. What You’ll Do: Spearhead the end-to-end migration from Jira to Git Lab, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency Establish and optimise CI/CD pipelines for code quality, security, and process automation. Streamline build and release processes to enhance developer productivity. Lead and mentor a small team, ensuring clear communication and effective task delegation. Provide ongoing support and innovative improvements after the migration. What We’re Looking For Team player who collaborates effectively with developers, testers, and platform teams. MUST HAVE Skills and Experience for candidates to be considered for the role3+ years of hands-on experience managing modern CI/CD pipelines, with a strong focus on Git Lab.3+ years of expertise in Docker and VMware v Center for containerisation and virtualisation.3+ years of experience with YAML configurations for orchestration and automation Proficient in Python, Bash scripting, and Power Shell to develop and enhance functionalities. Familiarity with Postgre SQL for managing relational databases, or experience with My SQL. Knowledge of AWS or Azure environments. Full working rights—New Zealand or Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Nice to Have Experience with Salesforce, Kubernetes, and Jira is highly advantageous.
