About the Role As a Workspace Technician, you will play a key supporting role in delivering reliable and efficient workspace services, working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
You'll be responsible for carrying out day-to-day operational tasks, assisting with troubleshooting, and helping deploy and maintain digital solutions that support our wider organisation.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn, develop technical capability, and gain exposure to project and service delivery activities.
You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support a culture of innovation, safety, and high-quality service.

About the Team/Service/ Location You'll be part of a collaborative Digital Operations team delivering workspace services that support staff across Health NZ, working in a connected national model while remaining responsive to regional and local needs.
The team partners closely with internal service lines, including Hauora Māori and Pacific Health, as well as external vendors and service providers, to ensure inclusive, high-quality service delivery that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
With a strong focus on continuous improvement, simplification, and innovation, the team embraces modern ways of working to deliver smarter, more efficient outcomes.

About you You are an enthusiastic, early-career IT professional who is motivated to build your technical capability while contributing to high-quality service delivery.
With a solid foundation in ICT support, you bring a proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of your work.
You're comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders and supporting inclusive, culturally aware practices grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You demonstrate sound judgement, resilience under pressure, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement, while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and a focus on delivering great outcomes.
At least 1 year of experience in an entry-level ICT or technology support role, supporting the deployment and maintenance of IT services Practical experience performing routine operational tasks, troubleshooting issues, and following technical standards and processes Exposure to implementing solutions and supporting technical planning or deployment activities A demonstrated ability to learn quickly and develop technical skills in a hands-on environment Relevant technical certifications (preferred), with ITIL or service management knowledge considered an advantage Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders A proactive, responsible approach with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity Knowledge or experience with mobile device troubleshooting and management would be preferred.
