Job Description We are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Duty Manager (Hotel) to lead the Front Office team at Oaks Wellington Hotel on a full time basis.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will manage hotel operations during your shift, assist all departments and address escalated issues with an emphasis on adaptability and effective problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities Providing an outstanding guest welcoming experience by demonstrating a commitment to service excellence and maintaining the front office and reception operational standards.
Meeting guests and owners when they arrive and ensuring they are settled in their rooms.
Maintaining professional, open and honest communication to assist guests and make accurate bookings.
Training, guiding and supporting the team in providing outstanding guest welcoming and experiences.
Responding to and resolving guest complaints effectively, timely and professionally.
Maintaining accurate guest accounts and assisting with daily reporting.
Effectively managing the team roster to meet budgets.
Overseeing and liaising with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments.
Coordinating Front Office and F&B activities to ensure guest packages are correct.
Purchase ordering and stock receipting.
Managing the service of alcohol in accordance with operational requirements.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, leading emergency actions and handling evacuation.
Qualifications2+ years' experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a hotel environment is preferred.
Exceptional people-management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude.
A passion for delivering proactive, exceptional customer service.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts if required.

Employment Details Location: 89 Courtenay Place, Te Aro, Wellington ****, New Zealand Hourly rate: $29 NZD per hour (excluding contributions to Kiwi Saver).
Wages are processed fortnightly by direct credit.
Annual salary approximate: $60,320 NZD (excluding contributions to Kiwi Saver).
