Working 5 days a week, 6 teaching hours per day, 30 hours per week
The Refugee Education Centre (REC), administered by AUT, delivers an education programme to all residents at the Mangere Refugee Resettlement Centre (MRRC).
REC seeks to recruit an Early Childhood Teacher for a permanent, part-time position to join our education programme. The candidate should be able to commence employment as soon as possible.
Minimum Qualifications
Early childhood tertiary qualification (preferably at degree level)
Current New Zealand teacher registration
Experience working with children from diverse linguistic and ethnic backgrounds
A warm and empathetic approach
Experience with refugee background children is an advantage
Proficient spoken and written English, and strong intercultural communication skills

Salary Range:
$59,000 - $78,000 Pro-rata (dependent on experience and qualifications)
