Our Invercargill community learning centre is seeking highly motivated early childhood certificated kaiako to join our teaching team for a maternity cover position. Kaiako will need to have:
BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
The ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with our children and their whānau and with your work colleagues
Ability to incorporate
Te Whāriki
2017 into our centre programme
A strong commitment to the use of Te Reo and tikanga Māori
Proven strategies to guide positive behaviour for our children
Confidence in computer literacy and the documentation of both children's learning, and your own registration/professional growth cycle
A current first aid certificate.
A sense of playfulness – to enjoy smiling and laughing with and alongside our children and your colleagues
A genuine commitment to our Surrey Park Community Spirit
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
The flexibility to work a variety of shifts over a 35 hour minimum working week.
