Join Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington as our next Manutaki - Director, Strategy and Planning, leading a high-performing team at the centre of the University. Focused on strategic development, planning, and reporting. This is a permanent, full-time role.
As part of the Tumu Whakarae - Vice-Chancellor's Office, you will provide critical analysis, insights and decision support to the University's leadership. You'll work alongside Te Hiwa - Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment with our Strategic Plan, compliance with external reporting obligations and delivery of forward-thinking strategy that guides our decision making and reflects our commitment to excellence, community, equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You will be a strategic thinker and collaborative leader. Experienced in planning, analysis, organisational development and someone who thrives on meaningful impact and engaging with a varying range of teams and perspectives.
Key requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in strategic planning and decision support
- Proven expertise in performance reporting, compliance, and data governance
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- High analytical skills for dealing with varied data, being able to practically apply data to relevant situations, enacting change
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in higher education or public institution settings is a plus
