The Opportunity This is a genuine working leadership role – ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools while also taking ownership of operations, people and performance. You’ll spend around 60‑70% of your time hands‑on, delivering high‑quality electrical work across a diverse range of environments. The rest of your time will focus on leading the division, building client relationships, and ensuring the business continues to perform and grow. This role offers a high level of autonomy and would suit someone who takes pride in their work, backs themselves, and enjoys being a trusted go‑to in their region.
What You’ll Be Doing On the Tools,
Installations, upgrades and complex fault‑finding
Testing, commissioning and compliance with NZ standards
Working across residential, commercial, rural and industrial sites
Motors, controls, generators and PLC systems
Breakdown response and on‑call support
Leading the Business:
Overseeing day‑to‑day operations of the division
Pricing, quoting and managing project delivery
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Leading, mentoring and growing the team
Driving performance, workflow and financial outcomes
What We’re Looking For
NZ Registered Electrician with current EWRB practising licence
5+ years’ experience across varied electrical environments
Proven leadership or readiness to step into a leadership role
Strong fault‑finding and technical capability
Experience in quoting, pricing and managing jobs
Solid understanding of NZ electrical standards and compliance
Good all‑round communication and client‑facing skills
Full NZ driver’s licence
