We are looking for a motivated Equine Veterinarian in Cambridge, New Zealand About our clinic: We are expanding our team and have a permanent full-time (40-hour minimum) position available for a motivated Equine Veterinarian starting from the 1st July 2024. The opportunity is based out of the Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre in Cambridge; a full-service equine clinic located in the heart of the thoroughbred breeding, racing and general equestrian community in New Zealand. With our state-of-the-art facility and highly experienced team, we cater to all equine athletes and leisure horses. We are well equipped with digital imaging modalities, nuclear scintigraphy, video and dynamic endoscopy, modern theatre and hospital facilities. Your work with us: You will work in conjunction with a team of sixteen highly experienced veterinarians and their support staff. You will primarily be providing first opinion based ambulatory care and expected to service all areas of equine veterinary care. The rotation is 1 in 4 for after-hours care and one weeknight per week. Ongoing professional development is encouraged both internally within the clinic, and with formal continuing education. This is a great chance to expand your knowledge and skills in a collegial environment with a highly professional and skilled team. Typically, a veterinarian may start as a general practitioner, but gradually develop particular interests and skill sets within the group over the subsequent years.
