Work towards meeting or exceeding financial goals in agreement with ownership.
Ensure the lodge, chalets, property are well-maintained and preventive maintenance is in place.
Introduce sustainability practices in the workplace, guest experience and overall operation.
Essentially managing the three most important baskets (team, guests, business/facility) as if it were yours.

Bring perspective and new ideas to Kauri Cliffs to ensure the property maintains the status as one of the best in the world.
Assist with the future planning as it relates to the residences, lodge and golf operations.
Accountabilities Support and develop a team culture amongst the lodge, golf and farm – One team.
Foster an environment of continuous improvement as it relates to all aspects of the business (guest, team member, business/facility).
Identify and present areas for improvement on the guest experience, employee experience and property/facility.
Develop “wow” on or nearby activities to enhance the guest experience / stay, increase length of stay and foster loyalty.
Develop “wow” offsite activities that encourage longer lengths of stay, loyalty and increase length of stay and foster loyalty.
Hire and retain key managers and staff for all lodge departments.
Ensure that team members are being effectively inducted, coached and supported.
Hold poor performers accountable and address conduct concerns promptly, where necessary instigating disciplinary action.
Ensure consistency with brand standards.
Continuous improvement of the guest experience encompassing all departments.
Be a representative of the Robertson Family for Kauri cliffs in all aspects of the Kauri Cliffs operation.
Identify and develop human talent in the lodge.
Financial responsibility for the lodge operation – Cap Expenditures.
Ensure costs are controlled through monitoring of: expenses, labour hours, and consumption of wine, beverage, food and operating supplies.
Comply with all Company policies and work within the spending limits as outlined.
Effective and proactive management of Health and Safety for guests and staff, ensuring compliance across all aspects of staffing and Lodge.
