The business started as one small store over 30 years ago and now has 8 retail stores and its own nurseries servicing garden and plant lovers across Auckland. Some More Information About The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Finance to really help the business reach the next phase in their growth. Working alongside an impressive and ambitious CEO, the Head of Finance will own the full finance function, providing strong commercial support to the senior leadership team which will drive key business decisions. You will be expected to be a hands-on leader who isn't afraid to get into the detail when needed. This will be a fantastic role for someone with a background in business transformation, driving commercial insights and has demonstrable success in maximising business efficiencies. The Head of Finance will also play a key role in system implementations and integrations and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in these areas. So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?To be successful in this role you will ideally have a background in the retail sector as well as having experience working with inventory management; horticultural experience would also be advantageous. You will have worked in a similar leadership role where you have had overall responsibility for the finance function. You will be CA/CPA qualified, ideally with a Big 4 background and you will have strong experience in technical accounting. You'll be a natural communicator and problem solver, whose passion lies in the commercial side of finance. You won't be afraid to deep dive into the detail and you will have strong enthusiasm and commitment in ensuring that the finance function is operating at its optimal level. Any background in systems implementations would be a huge advantage for this role. Your ability to business partner across all levels of the organisation will be crucial as well as your ability to enact positive change.
